Growing up in Utah, when people ask for help I say "yes" then ask about what they need. I firmly believe that when we help others we help ourselves. Giving without expectation is the easiest way to form a relationship, and this is what my business is built upon.
My generation is squeezed nice and tight between the "work hard" and the "work smart" generations. I believe that we are able to work hard at working smart. We have the ethic to develop systems that eliminate the monotonous, time-sucking tasks. As we work together to implement solutions, we create a synergy in the workforce through technology.
I always thought I would work in a corporate environment for 20 years until I had enough experience to leave and start a consulting business, until I started working. I spent 6 months as an intern working for Bosch Power Tools in Germany building daily report macros in Excel which automated a full time position to 15 minutes. I secured a salary position with Rockwell Automation 1 month before graduating Cum Laude in Operations Management from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. As a 22 year old, I was tasked with managing all electrical inventory held for automation machinery at the largest open pit Copper Mine in the world, Rio Tinto Kennecott. I sat in board rooms with high level decision makers and used data to help them make educated business decisions. I took a 3 day inventory management task from my predecessor and automated it into 30 minutes. I was making a big impact in this position with Rockwell until I got my dream opportunity to move to Alaska and help run a large Cannabis retail and grow operation, jumping with both feet into what I believe to be an incredible industry.
After 10 months of working as an Executive Retail Officer, I realized that my passion is to help people run their businesses efficiently. I love being able to diagnose a business and implement my ability to analyze the market and understand the culture of our different marketing segments. I enjoy optimizing processes more than anything. Once I realized this, I stepped down to begin my own business looking for opportunities to help small businesses that have been operating for years or are just starting up.
